First hospital award list under private public association
There are four bidders for private public alliance
The Bosa hospital project is ready to be awarded under an APP. The project was structured by the National Development Finance (NDF). It also emphasizes that it is the first with a focus on the social project of the health sector that will be developed under the private public partnership (PPP) model in the country. All this is the result of the coordinated participation of the IFC of the World Bank as co-structor and financial advisor and other Colombian firms.
With this award, it is expected that the PPP modality will cover the design, financing, construction, provisioning, operation, replacement and maintenance of the equipment and the structure.

The hospital will have a constructed area of approximately 30,000 square meters. The contractor shall be responsible for the construction, staffing and shall ensure operation for 15 years. The resources include the final design of the hospital, construction and complete furnishings, infrastructure maintenance, and the contracting of security, cleaning and disinfection services, among others. Likewise, the maintenance and replacement of hospital equipment.
The award process will be completed on 27 December 2019, once the technical and economic offer submitted by the four finalist bidders who met the enabling requirements has been revised.
Work is scheduled to begin in 2021 and the hospital will be operational in 2023.
